The book that tells the story of the promotion of Venezia FC

To celebrate the club's historic 2020/21 promotion season and return to Italy's top flight, which had been missing for 20 years, Venezia FC published a two-part book with a collection of photos taken by Ethan White. In the first 96 pages the photographer has immortalised the team in all its moments, photographing them in their natural environment, from the pitch to the dressing room, capturing all the moments of a season that for obvious reasons will be impossible to forget. In the second part, Ethan White focused instead on the city, shooting the city in all its beauty and complexity, capturing life in the Venetian lagoon in a series of street photography. But that's not all, the book also includes a special 32-page central insert with images of the promotion celebration, 27 May 2021, an unforgettable day for all Venetians who gathered in the city's historic sites to celebrate together an eagerly awaited promotion. Everything is accompanied by forewords written by the president of Venezia FC Duncan Niederauer and the photographer Ethan White himself.

A book that talks and tells about its city and its historical feat could only be produced and realized in Venice, in fact CamuffoLab and Grafiche Veneziane printing house participated in the project, turning the book into reality. This is not the first time that Ethan White has captured the city of Venice and all its fans in all its seductive beauty with his lens. For the digital cover of nss sports N.01, the American photographer had already photographed the canals, palaces and alleyways of Venice, using his images to tell the story of the city's aesthetics, which in that season was increasingly intertwined with that of a young and exciting team both on the pitch and in the company.
