Z5, Zinedine Zidane's new padel centre

After Ibrahimovic, the French coach will also open his own padel centre

Z5, Zinedine Zidane's new padel centre After Ibrahimovic, the French coach will also open his own padel centre

It literally exploded especially among former footballers last year and since then the rise of padel has never stopped. Many players and non-players have decided to invest in the tennis-derived sport. A few months ago Ibrahimovic opened his sixth club in Sweden, and now Zinedine Zidane has opened his Z5 in Aix-en-Provence, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of southern France, near Marseille. Developed in collaboration with adidas, the Z5 will feature padel courts, seven five-a-side football pitches, a gym, a restaurant and even a store for the German brand.

Almost a constant trend in recent times, in Italy even Francesco Totti, the famous former Roma number 10, has opened a padel centre. This is not the first Z5 for Zidane either, who has already opened several in France and Italy. A few years ago he opened a five-a-side football centre in Turin, a city that is very special for him, where he has made a name for himself. At the moment the padel courts have only been set up in the city near Marseille, but they could soon arrive in all the other locations, including Turin.
