Mesut Özil and the world of fashion, an always valid combination when it comes to the new number 10 of Fenerbahçe. His passion for streetwear led him to launch a brand - M10 Streetwear - and over the years to design his sneakers produced by Hide & Jack. The former Arsenal's path in the fashion industry continues: on Sunday the global creative director of the "football" section of Concave, a new Australian sportswear brand specialized in the production of performance shoes, was appointed. The strange episode - because there is always something strange when it comes to Özil - however concerns the shoes that M10 used in the match against Antalyaspor 2-0 win: instead of wearing and formalizing the participation with the new brand, the German played with a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor 14.

According to UnderStats, Mesut Özil would not be involved as a player but as the owner of the M10 Streetwear brand. This would explain the reason for using the Vapor and not a model produced by the Australian brand. There is therefore talk of a collaboration with Özil's first project in the fashion world, a partnership that will allow the brand founded in November 2020 to expand its boundaries and produce new products. The appointment of "global creative director" will help Özil to try his hand at his main passion and the Australians to be able to establish themselves as producers of performance shoes.

The main peculiarity of Concave is precisely the shape it gives to the shoes: a more concave silhouette, according to the brand's research and development laboratory, provides players - especially the more technical ones - with greater power and precision while kicking the ball, increasing the grip space between the sole and the pitch. Beyond football, therefore, Özil and fashion again, from Sunday also as creative director.
