This morning Fiorentina unveiled the new jerseys for the upcoming Serie A season with a little surprise. On the new jerseys made by Kappa will be the old logo, the one strongly desired by the Pontello management that in the '80s had upset the fans because the new lily looked more like a halberd than the historical symbol. This year, the stylised fleur-de-lis will return as a protagonist inside a white circle bordered in purple together with a sort of F, the team's initial. Symbols and aesthetics that Fiorentina has decided to "bring back home", in the year of the club's 95th anniversary, to enhance and re-propose them to new generations of fans.

The new shirts are also inspired by the club's history, with a design that fuses tradition and PRO KOMBAT™ technology. The first jersey is obviously always purple, as per tradition, and to make the link with history even stronger, the horizontal band brings to mind the uniforms worn by the Viola in the 1980s, when the club managed to snatch Roberto Baggio from Vicenza for 2.7 billion lire, a record figure for those times.

The away jersey remains white as in previous years, while the novelty is definitely the third designed in yellow, a colour that Fiorentina has rarely used in its history. All the jerseys have the same design with a horizontal band, including the goalkeeper's, and are made with Hidroway protection technology that guarantees breathability and effective release of body heat.
