Estudiantes will self-produce their jerseys from 2022

Estudiantes will self-produce their jerseys from 2022 Like Roma in 2013, the Argentine club has already mapped out its strategy

Accomplice to their expiring contract with Under Armour, Estudiantes have decided to self-produce their new kits for next season. As happened in 2019 with St. Pauli, who had decided to separate from their American brand to link up with DIIY, the in-house brand that produces the team's jerseys, Estudiantes will also do the same. From January 2022, RUGE will dress the club's first men's and women's football teams, with an exclusive and innovative design.

"RUGE is an inclusive concept. It includes all of us. It's our way of turning everything we feel about our club into a suit. It includes us as a family, it includes our values, our way of seeing sport and club life."

A step forward for the Argentine club, which according to the president will play next year with a brand based on the values and DNA of Estudiantes de La Plata. A move that is not new, apart from St. Pauli, also Lecce from 2018, through their own brand M908, will produce their own game kits; Roma in the 2013-14 season had jerseys without sponsors self-produced in the transition phase from Kappa to Nike
