The Nike project for the first eco-sustainable football

The "Next Nature Football" will be made from 100% recycled materials

The Nike project for the first eco-sustainable football The Next Nature Football will be made from 100% recycled materials

Nike is amplifying its eco-sustainability projects and after the Nike Cosmic Unity comes the first ball designed and built to protect the environment and promote the recycling of waste materials. The Beaverton brand launches the "Next Nature Football" project which involves the construction of a new football made with recycled airbag waste on the outside and filled with 100% recycled yarns that were destined for landfills.

Nike specifies that, for the moment, the ball will not be available on the market but it is "a manifestation of our commitment to repurposing waste". Designed with the good of our planet in mind, Next Nature Football is a proof-of-concept that implements and encourages sports and non-sportsmen to take the issue of environmental change seriously and recycle as much as possible to reduce human impact on nature.

The project is part of the "Move to Zero" macro category launched by Nike in recent months, with the aim of reducing to zero the incidence of the production of any material with the Swoosh.
