The Nike Air Max 95 dedicated to LeBron James With the yellow-purple colorway inspired by the Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James and Nike are united by a lifetime contract and the Beaverton brand has found in King James - now almost 20 years old - an image that goes beyond all imagination. After dedicating an entire building of the gigantic Nike campus to Akron's son, the Swoosh churns out an Air Max 95 dedicated to #23 of the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron has never hidden his preferences and has often indicated the AM95 as his favorite model, so much so that he adds details related to the model released in 1995 in the historic signatures such as the LeBron 12 Low and the LeBron 15.

This version celebrates the successes of the 4-time NBA champion, with a color palette inspired by the iconic yellow-purple of the Californian franchise. On the right shoe, the colors range from a dark purple to lighter shades and a yellow lace loop, with the nubuck upper being the only common thread between the two shoes. Exactly the opposite for the left shoe: lace hooks in purple and colors ranging from a brighter yellow to a more dull one. The Air Max logo is replaced by that of LBJ, while the sole bears the successes of the extraordinary career of LeBron Raymone James. Completing the design of the shoes are the engravings of the "2" (right) and "3" (left), a motif found on the front of the sole.

In the launch that includes the Lakers-related sneakers there are also the new Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 "Volt", very similar to the model launched last December but with green replacing orange. In 2020 the Air Max 95 relived a new life, thanks above all to the models that transported the Nigeria shirt to a one-of-a-kind version and to those who inspired Tottenham's fourth kit.

The Air Max 95 dedicated to LeBron James could be launched on March 30, in the period in which the Air Max Day is celebrated (March 26).
