Is Venezia FC about to change kit supplier? According to some sources, this could be the last season of the American brand in the Laguna

Venice FC, in this strange seasoncharacterized by COVID-19, is playing a good championship and at the moment it is in fourth position, in the middle of the playoff zone. A season that had started at its best since the presentation of the jerseys, which had gathered the enthusiasm of the fans and insiders, reinforcing the concept that Venice, from the point of view of the brand, is building something important. Yet, although things are going well on the ground, there are ambiguous signs about the current sponsor Nike's relationship with Venezia FC.

For example, it should be noted that in the online store of the Veneto club Nike products are all discounted: a message that would seem to allude to a devaluation of the product and a forthcoming interruption of the relationship between the American brand and the Veneto club. This is joined by various rumors wich says that Venezia FC is thinking to break off with Nike at the end of the season. A news that if confirmed would be resounding, also considering the project that the American brand was developing with the arancioneroverde club. In fact, Nike with Venezia FC had established a Premium contract, so the Venetian company have a supply of personalized material and production of off-the-pitch collections. These garments, together with the communication campaigns created by the New York agency Fly Nowhere, helped to create the new aesthetic of Venice, to which nss sports had dedicated the Digital Cover 01.

The possible leave of Nike from Venice would mark another farewell for the brand after that of many players and especially of AS Roma, who after announcing that they would not renew the partnership with Swoosh, signed with New Balance. For next season, in fact, many clubs are already discussing the next technical partners in recent months. Roma, in fact, have already signed with New Balance, while Lazio and Napoli Calcio have been associated with Castore, an English brand that could appear on the shirts of only one team between the Azzurri and the Biancocelesti.
