The NBA collection by Chinatown Market x Converse

Converse and Chinatown Market presented a new collection inspired by the historic jackets designed for the NBA by Jeff Hamilton between the 1990s and 2000s. These are some memorable uniforms from NBA history, which Converse and Chiatown Market celebrated with a pair of Cuck 70s and a Pro Leather jacket for each team. Thus, the sneakers and jackets of the collection are respectively re-proposed in the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls version, the two franchises chosen.

The two models each have the colors and references to the team to which they belong. The Bulls' Chuck 70 has a red upper with blue laces, joined by team reference details such as the words "Chicago," the bull, and the metropolis skyline embossed below. The same is the Pro Leather jacket: the bull and the red stand on the back of the jacket, together, on the sleeves, on the dates of consecutive victories. In fact, both the Bulls and Lakers jackets impressed the seasons they won and composed the Three-Peats - for Chicago 1996-97-98, for Los Angeles 2001-02-03. The models for the Lakers edition also have the typical colors of the franchise and references to the city, with palm trees and the skyline of downtown Los Angeles. In full Hamilton design, on the chest it is written in great Los Angeles, while, on the shoes, the purple, yellow and teal colors of the palm trees dominate, in the Walk of Fame style.

Converse and Chinatown Market have chosen two of the four NBA teams that have reached three-peaks in their history, which is to win tournaments three times in a row. The jackets designed by Jeff Hamilton are some of the best known garments in reference to the NBA, which over the years have also been dressed by the same players. In fact, both great symbols of the two teams such as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant wore in the years they played; Hamilton, who was friends with both of them, had designed the jackets precisely for the recognition of the Three-Peaks victories.
