adidas launches new Pro Model 2G McDonald's All-American Game From the feet of Kobe and Lebron to those of future NBA stars

adidas dusts off a great classic by adapting it to one of the most important American sporting events of the year. The German brand has made a restyling of the Pro Model 2G for the McDonalds All-American Game 2021 with the colors of the most famous fast food chain in the world. The launch coincided with the release of the match rosters featuring top high school talent. The design does not change from the original 2003 version, but the red and yellow colors perfectly match the naming sponsor of the event - complete with a McDonald's logo on the back of the shoe. The tongue also has the symbol of the chain combined with that of the event, while in the inner and outer forefoot there is the iconic slogan "I'm lovin 'it".

The Pro Model 2G were a must at the beginning of the millennium and many high-level players - even the most unsuspected ones - wore this model: Jamal Murray (adidas basketball testimonial) used a custom pair dedicated to Breonna Taylor and George Floyd; Josh Collins, Nick Young and Iman Shumpert chose colored and basic versions; Kyle Lowry wore them in the last All-Star Game in a special black & gold version, just as Melli wore them in what was once called Rookie Challenge and which now, under the name of Rising Stars Challenge, faces the best US talent against the rest of the world. But the most incredible names are those of LeBron James (at the time of Saint Vincent Saint Mary HS), Kobe Bryant (in a wonderful photo with the MJ shirt) and the Westbrook-Love duo at the time of UCLA.

No release has been made official at the moment, but it is more than likely that adidas will launch this new Pro Model 2G model on the market in the coming months. The McDonald's trend in basketball was back in the limelight when Travis Scott launched a jersey dedicated to the event last September, which historically has been the ideal showcase for discovering new talents.
