The Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 inspired by the legend of the freeze-out game Original colorway and some more details than the shoe worn by MJ in 1985

The historic Air Jordan 1 comes back to life, officially entered on the market in 1985 and never out of the top-5 of any respecting snakerhead. Thanks to the Trophy Room, this iconic model will return to the market and the story surrounding one of the most anticipated launches of 2021 is worthy of a movie.

The legend has a specific name: freeze-out game, which is the game between the NBA stars of 1985. Among the main players were Larry Bird, Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Isiah Thomas, George "Iceman" Gervin, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Julius "The Doctor" Erving. Among the rookies was Michael Jordan, who however does not go down in history for a memorable debut. In that game a group of players led by Thomas, Magic and Gervin decided to completely exclude MJ from the match and convinced some teammates not to pass the ball to him (he will close with only 9 shots and 7 points). 36 years later, the story is still shrouded in mystery, with the scapegoats denying the existence of a conspiracy and with Jordan claiming that from then on, frictions with Thomas began.

Beyond the metropolitan legends, the timeless Air Jordan 1 "Chicago" from that evening is still in everyone's eyes. The version created in collaboration with Trophy Room retains the original coloring and adds Michael Jordan's signature on the front. All this is completed with a white nylon tongue with the Nike Air logo. Another element not belonging to the 85 model concerns the seams and seams, this time in white. While the colorway remains faithful to the original, it has a patina similar to an ice sheet to recall the "freezing" that MJ suffered in that famous ASG. Finally, the last reference to the match of the stars are precisely 4 stars drawn on the translucent sole.

No information is yet known about the official launch of the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 and the forecasts of the media are divided into two: there are those who claim that it will be launched on February 10, the day in which the freeze-out game was played; there are those who claim that the release will follow the schedule - not yet announced - of the All-Star Game 2021.
