The special kit Kappa of Palermo for its 120th birthday

The special kit Kappa of Palermo for its 120th birthday A bit Sampdoria-style, but still fascinating

To celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Palermo Calcio, the club has produced, in collaboration with Kappa, a celebratory shirt, presented with a video involving some Rosanero players. The Sicilian team, currently in Serie C after the failure of 2018. A shirt similar - but only coincidentally - to the one recently proposed by Sampdoria, which against AC Milan, two weeks ago, had shown a special celebratory kit of one of the founding companies of the current club, Andrea Doria. The new kit will debut this weekend in the big match against Bari Calcio.

In 1900, a group of Englishmen founded in 1900 the "Anglo Palermitan Athletic and Football Club", from which palermo football developed over the years, whose uniforms were originally far from rosanero. Indeed, as this celebratory shirt recalls, the initial colors on the Sicilian logo were light blue and white, today reported in a template divided in two with those colors. The collar is rosanero and has a lacing around the neck with black laces - like the uniforms of the past -, while on the chest, on the left, there is a special logo, made with the historical logo revisited with that of today (there is an eagle, corporate symbol adopted even after the failure, and the two two-tone shields with the inscription Palermo Fbc). The vintage appeal is also in horizontal striped socks, with the same colors as the shirt.

Palermo Calcio presented the shirt to some of the current members of the team: Andrea Accardi, Niccolò Corrado, Malaury Martin, Nicola Rauti and Michele Somma. The presentation video was shot at Fincantieri's pitch.
