The new Nike jerseys of Brazil 2020-21 With many references to the World Cup win in Mexico 1970

Brazil Football Federation presented the new Nike jersey for the 2020-21 season, also accompanying the exit of the Away shirt. The two kits are a reworking of the 1970 jersey with which Brazil won the World Cup in Mexico in 1970, an event that this year celebrates its fiftieth anniversary. To celebrate the memory of that victory, the pattern and jersey numbers refer to that edition of the Brazil shirt, and also, to present it, Nike has chosen as models some membersMario Zagallo, former head coach of that team along with Richarlison, today's Brazil striker.

The first jersey has the classic colors of Brazil, with green edges and collar and an all-yellow livery. On the collar and edges Nike added a particular template with intersected triangles, adding a touch of modernity to the classic pattern of the shirt. That weave is a reference to the flag of Brazil, which on the Away jersey - total blue - is imprinted in the pattern of the entire shirt, with the yellow Nike logo on the away uniform and green on the one for domestic matches. Both jerseys sewed Brazil's new logo, redesigned and announced in April 2019, but only recently made official. Jersey timing also has a particular history.

The two kits were supposed to be presented last May, but due to the pandemic the Brazilian Federation decided to postpone it until November. With this shirt Nike wants to honor the sense of Brazilian football, a game made of spectacle, fluid positions, heel shots and fantasy: the soul of the Brazilian futebol, then expressed by Swoosh with Joga Bonito, developed precisely starting from that team, reborn thanks to Pelé's plays.

Brazil will wear the new jerseys of the double match valid for the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifiers: Seleção will play Saturday 14 at home against Venezuela and Wednesday 18 away against Uruguay.
