The new jersey of Middlesbrough F.C. for the Riverside Stadium A celebrative kit for their home

The English Championship club Middlesbrough F.C. today unveiled the new third Hummel jerseys dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Riverside Stadium, their home stadium. The Boro - this is the nickname of the club - chose to celebrate its game facility with an original and modern pattern, maintaining the club's social colors but putting the Riverside structure at the center.

The white color dominates the entire shirt except for the collar and the edges of the red sleeves, although the main verse is the intersection of lines that cut the uniform in two halves. That intersection is precisely the reference to Riverside Stadium and the design of its roof, which in small, is also reported on the back of the collar along with its geographical coordinates. The figure of the stadium took space away from the sponsor in the center of the shirt, who for this special occasion agreed to step aside and go to the back of the uniform. In fact, in front, in addition to the relief of the stadium there are only the coat of arms of boro on the left and that of Hummel on the right, plus, above the latter, the logo of the Middlesbrough Foundation.

Work on Middlesbrough's stadium began in 1994 and the stadium opened in 1995, and before that, Boro played at Ayersome Park, a historic venue that also hosted three World Cup matches in 1966. The Riverside Stadium has a capacity of 34,000 spectators and three seasons ago, with Middlesbrough in the Premier League, it hosted the best teams in the English League. With this jersey. Hummel joins the trend of architectural references already seen in other uniforms this season. Although here, of course, there is a clear reason.
