The Mexican football jerseys for the Dia de Muertos

The Dia de Muertos in Mexico is probably one of the most famous national holidays in the world. A folk festival that goes far beyond the simple Halloween and that, precisely for the occasion, the teams of Pachuca FC, Atlas and Xolos wanted to celebrate with a special jersey, called Día de Muertos. The mesh set was produced by Mexican technical partner Charly Sport, a sports supply company in Mexico City. Xolos' uniform, by the way, has already made its debut on Wednesday night in the match against the International de Monterrey.

A very original design with woven geometries that fill the shirt of many Marigolds, or even called Cempasúchil, a typical Mexican flower used on the day of the dead. At the bottom, on the right, there is a relief of the Monumentàl Clock in Pachuca, the symbol of the city, while on the left, the club has inserted a QR Code that allows fans to access exclusive content from Pachuca FC. The whole shirt is of this color typical of Mexican flowers - a kind of gold - except on the sleeves, black in color. The jersey is also full of sponsor brands throughout the pattern, both front and back and even on the shoulders. The pattern is very particular for Pachuca, while those of Xolos and Atlas, although very interesting and original, have less understood colors and are less covered by sponsors, an almost predominant element in the Pachuca jersey.

The Xolos jersey is red with a pattern marked by a giant Mexican skull (in dark red) while that of the Atlas is in gray, but always with skulls inserted into the model. Santos Laguna is green and is inspired by Papel Picado, a folk object widely used in Mexico whose shape is present in the uniform pattern. In addition, Pachuca, Laguna and Xolos have also made videos to celebrate the Dia de Muertos and introduce fans to the new third jerseys.
