The special font of Flamengo's jerseys

The special font of Flamengo's jerseys A project for the World Children's Day, but htere's a little controversy

During the last three games played Flamengo has introduced in its uniforms some underlying peculiarities, noted with disbelief by some fans last week. In the matches against Goiás, Red Bull Bragantino and Corinthians (this was a super challenge) Mengao wore the usual play uniforms but with different fonts, designed by Brazilian children from eight Brazilian educational institutes - from Rio de Janeiro, Santa Caterina, Pernambuco, Tocantis and São Gonçalo. In the jerseys of Bruno Henrique and fellow names and numbers were drawn in pen, with the result that they were printed on the fabric of the shirt stylized and a little crooked.

The Brazilian club repeated what they did on World Children's Day last year, which this time in Brazil was celebrated on October 12. The children have designed 41 t-shirts, as much as the number of team's players, each with their own names and numbers. In the three games played last week Flamengo wore both the first Rossoneri jersey and the second white away shirt, and on each occasion the numbers were drawn by the children - but with the TIM sponsor clearly visible in the character of the numbers. To help financially assist the facilities that house these children, Flamengo will sell these particular jerseys at auction or through a lottery, offering institutions the resulting proceeds.

As some Brazilian media have pointed out, however, despite the beautiful initiative Flamengo has not given up removing the sponsor TIM from the new (and provisional) font. A fault that some fans say would ruin the good reasons of the project. The hypothesis is that Mengao has a certain type of sponsorship agreement with TIM and the logo of the Italian company cannot be removed.
