How to celebrate the first Mamba Day in the right way

The #24 and #8 from January 26 are no longer random numbers. For those who love basketball they have never been. These are the numbers that Kobe Bean Bryant wore during his career, lived all in purple&yellow in that Los Angeles that cried him for days, for weeks. The same city, not later than a week ago, decided to declare 24/8 as "Kobe Bryant Day" to remember and celebrate, once again, the essence of a champion who has meant so much to the LA community. Many, in every corner of the world, are organizing events, exhibitions, anything that can remind us of a champion who left far too soon.

A very interesting initiative is the one set up by doubleclutch.it, an Italian store specializing in the basketball performance and streetwear world that has generated over the years a strong community linked to the whole world of basketball. For the occasion, Luca Quattrone's crew has assembled a team of 8 artists who will create a limited edition poster (24 pieces) that will be on sale for only 24 hours on the store website. The graphic designers are Davide Barco, Will Bryant Studio, Stefano Marra, Ostertagmademedoit, Marco Donatelli, Marco Oggian, Giacomo Bagnara, Elad Shagrir.

Il 24/8/2020 sarà il primo Mamba Day senza Kobe, da quel maledetto incidente che ha lasciato un vuoto incolmabile in ogni appassionato. Questa è la migliore eredità che Kobe potesse lasciarci. Non basta quindi limitarsi alla memoria, in questo particolare momento storico è importante e necessario raccogliere gli ideali che hanno reso leggenda il nativo di Philly, è necessario celebrarne la legacy con qualcosa di differente, come quando il 24 trovava il modo di far canestro anche accerchiato da avversari.
