A mix of tributes in the new design of the Gunners shirt

The new adidas home kit of Arsenal 2020-21 A mix of tributes in the new design of the Gunners shirt

Arsenal and adidas launched the home kit for the 2020-21 season this morning. The launch of the first shirt has been studied in detail, with a video that traces the history and design of the shirts linked to the architecture of London and the neighborhood where the "Gunners culture" is more deeply rooted. Aubameyang, Lacazette, Bellerin, David Luiz and other Arsenal footballers involved in one of the most successful strategies in this period of kit release.

The shirt is a mix of historical and design references, starting from the pattern that in some ways resembles the zigzag of Inter Milan. The clearest references are the Art Deco of the 30s and 40s - which Arsenal was inspired by for the shirts from 1936 to 1949 - and at the same time the "geometric crest" which has now become a brand factory for Arsenal. The patter creates a stylized "A" and recalls the iconic marble floor of the East Stand in Highbury, a place of worship for all the Gunners fans. The new uniform will debut in the match against Watford and will be staged at Wembley on August 1st, at the FA Cup final against Chelsea.
