The new PUMA jersey of Manchester City 2020-21

The new PUMA jersey of Manchester City 2020-21 The design is a tribute to Manchester mosaics

PUMA Football and Manchester City launched the new first shirt for the 2020-21 season in the morning. One of the top brands of the German brand in terms of sales volumes of merchandising reveals the home kit with a unique design, dedicated to the mosaics created by Mark Kennedy and visible in the northern district of the city. These mosaics depict all the great icons that have made Manchester's history (including sports): from the Oasis to the Sex Pistols, from Colin Bell to Vincent Kompany, from Eric Cantona to Rolls Royce. The mosaics were also an important part of Manchester City's history, dating back almost 100 years ago, when the city's original mosaic decorated the gates of the Maine Road Stadium.

PUMA once again opts for the design-tribute to the symbols of the city of the team it represents. It happened already with Borussia DortmundMarseille and presumably with the Slavia Praha kits. The design of the City shirt is obviously "sky blue", just like one of the Manchester City nicknames. As usual, the City will end the current season wearing the new kit on behalf of Arsenal, Watford and Norwich.

The purple inserts and the excessive simplicity of the first 2019-20 jersey have been eliminated and inside the motifs that make the home kit of the next season more intriguing. Home kits that, in truth, they had already seen in early May, when the USA section of the PUMA Football website had inadvertently spoiled everything.

The new Manchester City shirt for the 2020-21 season is on sale on the City online store and on Puma.com.
