The Nike shirt of Atletico Madrid 2020-2021

After an Italian and an English club, Nike presented the Atlético Madrid first kit for the 2020-21 season. Joao Felix and co. will dress in a classic style sweater with reinterpretations of the usual red stripes on the white background. The peculiarity of the shirt lies precisely in the vertical stripes, which are not linear and precise as usual but which almost recall brush strokes. The collar also follows the classic style, as if the Los Rojiblancos and Nike had decided to push on the tradition and historicity of the club.

“This kit has a very classic look to it and it’s nice to have the full collar back for the first time in a while,” says midfielder Saúl Ñiguez, who has a special relationship with Nike after launching his Costa City Club. From red and white - always the colors of Atlético - to the navy blue of the collar, also composed of central buttons. Navy blue is also found laterally, with the usual strip running along the sides of the shirt. Dark blue shorts and red socks complete the kit, with the word "Athletes" appearing in the middle of the calf.

As for the launch, Nike uses the same graphic strategy for social content used for the releases of the Inter and Chelsea shirts, the only top clubs that have already revealed their first kit.
