Internacional de Madrid has been bought by an eSports company DUX Gaming, owned by Courtois and Borja Inglesias, reverses the trend for the first time

The world of eSports is becoming increasingly popular within real sports, the most recent examples are the collaboration between Wolverhampton and Gulf Racing and the recognition of the eNational by CONI.

For the first time, however, the trend is reversed: this is the case of DUX Gaming, an esports company owned by Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid goalkeeper) and Borja Inglesias (Betis striker), who bought the Internacional de Madrid, team participating in the Segunda Division B, the Spanish Serie C. In fact, from next year the team will be called DUX Internacional de Madrid, which will abandon the classic Rossoneri colors to wear the social colors of the export company.

Clearly the two players will not deal directly with the management of their new team, which will remain under the management of the current president Stephen Kenneth Newman, co-founder of Internacional in 2002.

All that concerns communication, merchandising and promotion of the Spanish team will instead be entrusted to the youtuber DjMaRiiO, EA Sports' international FIFA player.

The sporting goal already stated is to maintain the category and aim for the playoffs, the e-sporting one will instead be to continue to be a leader within the virtual scene, aiming to reach even the least ''social'' audience.
