Luna Rossa's journey to the Prada Cup Narrated by the series ''Challengers for Now'' which tells the preparation of the sailing team for the next American's Cup

"It's an obsession."

This is how the America's Cup is defined in the web series "Challengers for Now", the first season that tells of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, the Italian team that is preparing to face the 36th edition of the most important sailing trophy in the world.

The first season of the web series tells the life of the over one hundred professionals of the Luna Rossa team Prada Pirelli, at the base of Cagliari: from training, to the development of the hull and the wings, to the first outings at sea up to moments of tension such as the dismantling during a workout.

The second season of ''Challengers for Now'' will instead be released after the summer and will accompany the team until the departure for Auckland, where between January and February 2021 the Prada Cup is scheduled, the regatta between the challengers, which will decree the team that in March 2021, in the America's Cup regattas, will challenge Emirates New Zealand, the cup holder.

'' Being ''challenger'' reminds us every day of our goal and pushes us to work harder and harder to achieve it. This webseries is a project that, as a team, we care about, above all because it tells the long journey behind such a complex challenge as that of the America's Cup".

Max Sirena - team director of Luna Rossa

The webseries explains many aspects of the behind the scenes of the competition, from how a "flying boat" is designed, with avant-garde materials and design, to the protagonists of the team who physically complete the work. The margins of error are practically zero and the real enemy is represented by time, both that which will separate the two hulls at the finish of the regatta, and that which is necessary to eliminate the possibility of making mistakes.

''In an America's Cup campaign you never know what can happen until the end; the only sure thing is that the winning teams are always the ones who manage to work together to overcome daily challenges. I hope this series will be able to show the public the background of the long and exhausting preparation for the America's Cup''.
