LFP presented the new Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 logos A rebranding operation that comes in conjunction with the new sponsors

***UPDATE 19/06/2020***

A week after the spoiler by Amiens SC, here comes the official from the French LFP as regards the rebranding of the logos of both the Federation itself, and of the two professional leagues, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.

The renewal accompanies the start of the title sponsorship of Uber Eats and BKT with a graphic project - created with the design agency Dragon Rouge - which finds its references in the trophies of the two championships: the ''Hexagon'', which is raised by the champions of Ligue 1 and the 3-circle of Ligue 2 which in the logo is summarized in a single circle, recalling that of the midfield.

The French Federation has decided to present its new graphics to the public through videos on its social accounts, trying to give further value to a change already anticipated for some time.

About a year ago the French Professional Football League (LFP) announced an important partnership with Uber Eats - the home delivery app - regarding the title sponsor of Ligue 1, currently called ''Conforama Ligue 1'', starting from the 2020/2021 season.

The two-year agreement provides for the naming of the championship - which will therefore become ''Uber Eats Ligue 1'' - and an entry of approximately 14.5 million Euros into the coffers of the French Federation, more than double to the agreement with the previous sponsor.

In June 2019 Didier Quillot, executive director of LFP commented on the partnership saying that ''This important agreement reflects the new dimension adopted by Ligue 1. From next season, Uber Eats will be present in the sponsorship material of the League, to which will be added some surprises and offers. We are also particularly pleased to be able to associate Ligue 1 with a very strong brand among young consumers".

The agreement between the League and the sponsor will begin with the beginning of next season but, accidentally, what will be the new logo of the championship has already been revealed: in fact on the Twitter account of Amiens SC, the newly promoted team in Ligue 1, it has been published a tweet in which a ''different'' logo appears from what is still in use today

The tweet was removed immediately but the error did not go unnoticed; the new Ligue 1 logo has a minimalist design very similar to the previous one, with the difference in the number of elements: it has gone from a ball under which the championship name appears to a ball and a hexagon-like surrounding it.

For now, no denial has been released by Amiens or LFP, but taking advantage of the definitive stop of the French championship, the new logo could be presented shortly.
