NBA and Microsoft announce partnership for fan experience Games from home like never before

The NBA and Microsoft Corporation have announced a multi-year partnership regarding the "fan experience", that is, all that will transversally involve fans outside the actual match.

Starting from the 2020-2021 season, Microsoft will be the Official Aritficial Intelligence Partner and Official Cloud and Laptop Partner for the NBA, the WNBA, the G-League and for the USA Basketball.

Microsoft and NBA Digital will create a new dirct-to-consumer platform on Microsoft Azure that will be used by users to customize the vision of the games and manage the content and services offered by the NBA, giving life to a new experience with which fans can interact directly and ''personal''.

In addition to being able to watch matches live and on-demand through the platform, users will be able to access a wide range of data, extra content and historical videos that the NBA will make available through a learning machine, capable of doing cognitive research and provide advanced data according to each fan's requests.

"We can't wait to start this partner," said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, adding: "We will bring fans even closer to the game and players through personalized experiences." In response, Adam Silver, NBA commissioner: "This partnership will help us redefine our fans' NBA experience, creating customized content that allows them to immerse themselves in all aspects of the game and interact directly with teams and players."

In addition to the partnership, Microsoft will also become title sponsor of the NBA Draft Combine and associated partners for other events such as the NBA and WNBA All Star Game and the Las Vegas Summer League.
