Jump Shot is the new documentary produced by Steph Curry The story of Kenny Sailors and the evolution of jump shot

Where do the technical gestures that form the basis of every sport come about? Where do the "fundamentals" of a sport come from? The answer is not always simple, also because the answer almost always comes from times very far from ours. Times that someone has at heart and wants to bring to light, just like Steph Curry, star of the Golden State Warriors and executive producer of the documentary film "Jump Shot" did.

"Jump Shot" is the historical reconstruction of the jump shot, one of the deadliest weapons found in the vast arsenal of the best basketball players and which has allowed the # 30 of the Warriors to become a war machine. The story begins with its inventor, Kenny Sailors, a fairly good player between ABA (Basketball Association of America) and NBA and excellent at collegiate level. The highlight of the story is a game played in Madison Square Garden by the Sailors Wyoming Cowboys in which the Nebraska guard performs what is called a "leaping one-hander". Name not very cool and certainly not well known, considering also that gesture had never been seen or done by others. That was the first jump shot, the first jump shot in basketball history.

Jacob Hamilton's direction brought the Sailors story to light and collected testimonials from players like Kevin Durant, Bobby Knight, Dirk Nowitzki and Curry himself. Many memories of the former Cleveland Rebels, Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia Warriors, with a series of vintage films that tell the gesture and the story of the gesture that changed an entire sport. Sailors' legacy is incredible and honoring him with such an important memory is the best way to thank him.
