The return of the adidas Predator Mania ''Japan Blue''

A vintage touch in adidas ''Tormentor pack''

The return of the adidas Predator Mania ''Japan Blue'' A vintage touch in adidas ''Tormentor pack''

The Predator Mania have been by far the most iconic shoes that the 2000s have ever seen, in a millennium where it was not clear yet whether to follow the path of vintage or that of innovation, adidas had not wasted time tracing a furrow that will only filled in 2004 by Nike with the first Mercurial Vapor.

An attractive design, with shiny leather, the rubbers to be able to kick the ball just like Beckham did, those three elegant side stripes and the tongue with the elastic useful to keep it attached to the shoe even in rain, when the velcro did not plus its effect. And then the colors, black, then silver, red, champagne color (which was not cream, it was champagne) and finally blue.

And here is what we were waiting for: after last week adidas launched the Predator 20+ Tormentor, clearly inspired by the 2002 Predator version used during the World Cup in Korea and Japan, here is also the real 18 exhumed from the archive ancestor, the Predator Mania ''Japan Blue''.

The limited edition remake has reached a crazy hype because of its rarity in Europe and adidas has found a nice way to guarantee its success, associating it with the most modern version both in terms of release date and coloring. Although it is not the first reinterpretation of a Predator Mania, it is still the first release of a vintage boot in 2020, leading adidas to immediately collect excellent feedback from collectors and less nostalgic.

The ''new'' Predator Mania ''Blue Japan'' will be released within the adidas ''Tormentor pack'' (which will also include an Ultra Boost trainer, the Predator 20+, Predator 20.1 and 20.1 Low) starting from from March 12 to € 350 on adidas.com and in selected retailers.
