The new Champions League match ball by adidas It's simply called 'Finale Istanbul' and will be used from February until the final on May 30th

adidas has just unveiled the official match ball that will be used in the Champions League starting from the round of 16, which will begin on February 18, until the Istanbul final on 30 May. The ball will be called 'Finale Istanbul' and will replace the old version of 'Finale', used during the group stage phase. The intricate design presents an artistic interpretation of the Istanbul map, continuing one of the preferred trends in recent years, with the geographical maps that have depopulated on many items produced for the football field, such as, for example, the Nike 2018/2019 3rd kits of Inter, Roma, Atletico of Madrid, Barcelona or Kappa's Betis Sevilla and Napoli jerseys.

The inspiration of the graphics is therefore directly connected to the host city, Instanbul, which univocally connects east and west, Europe and Asia. The purple color palette is a reinterpretation of the sunset over the Bosphorus, the navigable river that flows through the city, highlighting the deep connection between the Turkish city and art, with the classic white stars typical of UCL balloons placed in contrast with the hand drawn map. The ball is equipped with the latest adidas technology to ensure that top players from European clubs can perform their best during the competition. An external textured coating, like all official competition balls, offers a secure grip and complete control, while the heat-sealed star panels, with a more sustainable glue, offer a uniform surface to improve the first touch.

From today you can buy the adidas Istanbul Finale from the adidas website, in selected stores and retailers.
