What's behind the Kylian Mbappé celebration Copied by Alexander-Arnold, it looks like that of Neymar but also of a semi-unknown Colombian striker

He's the footballer of the present and of the future, the one who is rewriting all the records of scoring averages and earliness and who has become the candidate number 1 to collect the legacy of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo: we are obviously talking about Kylian Mbappé. In the global rising of the French striker there is also the first Nike signature shoes but also the branding of a personal celebration, the one that already distinguishes many affirmed players like Cristiano Ronaldo's 'siuuuu', the 'Three Kisses' by Luis Suarez and the 'Dybala mask' of the Juventus' Argentine striker.

Erroneously than one might think, the celebration of Kylian Mbappé (crossing his arms on his chest placing his palm under the opposite armpit) was not born during his PSG period, but in the days of AS Monaco. Unexpected protagonist of the French club's ride to the Champions League semifinals thanks to 6 goals and many games that had already previewed his infinite talent, Mbappé had explained that the celebration had been tested for the first time by his younger brother Ethan during some games on the PlayStation, and that then Kylian would have decided to use it also in real matches.

But until the celebration is officially approved, perhaps with a specific name, anyone can borrow it. And because the emulation is one of the highest forms of respect, many players who play in the United Kingdom have already used it: above all Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, but also the Ukrainian of Manchester City Oleksandr Zinchenko (to celebrate a deflected goal against a League Two team), Celtic FC forward Scott Sinclair and, only slightly similarly, Manchester United's Daniel James lastly Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli.

Without wishing to talk about a case of emulation, however, we noticed that there was someone who used to celebrate like him so many years ago: in 2013 the current teammate Neymar after a goal at Celtic FC in the Champions League group stage, while earlier Colombian striker former Wigan and Fulham Hugo Rodallega.
