The football-inspired Wales Bonner x adidas upcoming collection Just unveiled during the early days of the London FW20

One of the main protagonists of the early days of the London Men's FW20 was undoubtedly Wales Bonner, the emerging label founded by Grace Wales Bonner in 2014 that paraded in the famous setting of Lindley Hall. In the autumn/winter collection not yet officially unveiled, the English designer took inspiration from the Afro and underground influences from South London, to the typical clothing of the Lovers' Rock, reggae and rastafarian culture of the 70s and 80s .

But it also draws inspiration from the world of football: the combination of roots culture and vintage football aesthetics is summarized in the football jersey produced together with adidas, but also in a special version of the Samba, the famous football boots also worn by Bob Marley on many occasions.

So it's football, in addition to colored trench coats, donkey jackets and bakery boy caps, the great connection of the Wales Bonner x adidas capsule, which concern not only some archival models such as the customized Samba and bowling shoes, but even the old suits with the Three Stripes in plain view. If the shoes have already been worn during the fashion show, the jersey and other items in the collection will be revealed soon. Wales Bonner was not the only brand to use football jersey on the catwalks of London Fashion Week, as an Astrid Andersen model worn an orange long sleeve football shirt.

There's not an official release date of the collection yet, so you just have to stay connected on nssmagazine to know all the next updates.
