The new UNKNWN x Thom Browne collection

The brand and retail store UNKNWN, founded by Lebron James in Miami, unveiled the anticipated capsule in collaboration with Thom Browne, in which the iconic shrunken suits of the American brand and the UNKNWN sports items - as the partnership with Barcelona presented in November - come together in a capsule consisting in nine items, including accessories and footwear. The highlights of the UNKNWN x Thom Browne collection are the hoodie and the polo shirt, both of which feature the same combination of red inserts with the four red stripes. The capsules are enriched with the slide sandals, which is a wardrobe stable for the UNKNWN co-founders, a baseball cap and matching socks, as well as shorts, tees and a bag made with red leather handles, brass accessories and a red, white and blue belt.

In early 2018, James took his then-team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, to get suited up by Thom Browne, revealing a deep appreciation for Browne’s unique tailored suits. Since then, James has been spotted wearing Browne’s garments, making the partnership with the Miami-based UNKNWN, co-owned by James, Jaron Kanfer and Frankie Walker Jr., a natural fit. Thom Browne does not have a logo but some elements that come back even in this capsule, like the four horizontal stripes - inserted on the left leg of the shorts and on the sleeves of the hoodie - and the red, white and blue trim, which appears on the garments of the capsule.
