Nike shoes to celebrate Megan Rapinoe’s Ballon d’Or winning

To celebrate Megan Rapinoe’s Ballon d’Or award, the last trophy of his fabulous year after the conquer of the World Cup in July with the USA Women’s team, Nike unveiled a pair of commemorative shoes which pay homage to her great season, during which by she was named 'Best Player of the Tournament' and was awarded with the 'FIFA Best award' in September. The pink-gold colourway draws inspiration from Rapinoe’s hair colour and the trophies she has conquered this year, with her name on the lateral sides of the boot and the Nike claim ‘Just Do It’ featuring on the medial side.

Some details enrich the boots, like the four stars to celebrate the US Women’s fourth World Cup success. The boot was presented to her in a special box with an inscription that read: “Some aim to leave their mark on the game; you have changed it. A Pioneer on and off the field, your unabashed personality and style of play have empowered your peers and fans while earning you some much deserved recognition. Congratulations Megan Rapinoe, 2019 Balon d’Or winner.”
