The imaginary Netflix series inspired by the Champions League On a YouTube channel there are 'Blancos', 'Pique Blinders' and 'Stranger Games'

From September to today, the video that appeared on the YouTube channel 'Plaantik' and produced by Tawsif Akkas has exceeded 100,000 views: what is it about? An ironic reinterpretation of the most famous TV series on Netflix, widely known among the fans, who never associated them with the world of football. Through a surprising editing, Plaatnik created trailers and posters of hypothetical TV series based on the players and the teams participating in the Champions League (but not only), inspired by real Netflix TV shows.

'Blancos' is Real Madrid's answer to 'Narcos', while in 'Anfield One-Nine', Jake Peralta and Captain Holt are replaced by Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp. The poster of 'Suits' features David Beckham and David Moyes replaces the 'The Office' histrionic boss Michael Scott. Other favourites include 'Pique Blinders', which sees the players of Barcelona into the shoes of the Tommy Shelby's criminal gang. Arrival' celebrates the debut of Frank Lampard in the Champions League as coach, while Unai Emery and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer become the standoff of the cast of 'The Departed'. And shortly after seeing the Dutch national team in 'Oranje is the new Oranje', the video ends with a review of 'Stranger Things' which becomes 'Stranger Games', comparing the 'upside down' to the often unexpected Champions League games, such as the 4-4 between Chelsea and Ajax.
