Lamborghini and Gran Turismo have unveiled a new collab

E-sports and luxury cars recently are inspiring unusual and unforeseen collaborations. One of the most popular luxury car companies in the world is Lamborghini, which during the weekend made official a collaboration with Gran Turismo.
The videogame produced by Kazunori Yamauchi in 1997 was one of the first days of simulation driving for consoles, with the career mode and customization of vehicles and circuits, becoming, with 80 million copies sold, one of the best games for racing fans and making GT the highest-selling video game franchise under the PlayStation brand. 

Lamborghini, like many fashion brands, has therefore decided to exploit the potential of the gamers community, which moves a market destined to reach the value of 180 billion dollars in 2021 and represents the symbol of the generational change of its customers. The world of e-sports has considerable cultural importance and the luxury markets seem to want to find innovative ways to achieve exclusivity and perfection, no matter if to do so are involved fantastic galaxy like that of League of Legends and Fortnite or the circuits of Gran Turismo.

We do not know all the details of the single-seater V2 and 819 hp yet, from the presentation video it's possible to see some details, such as the hexagonal shape of the side windows - which echoes the stylistic motif of the '66 Marzal concept. The large luminous Y that forms the rear light unit, as well as the front is an evolution of the latest designs.
The entrance to the passenger compartment is inspired by that of the combat aircraft, the driving controls are all positioned on the steering wheel, while the information for the pilot is projected on a display positioned on the windshield.
The chassis is futuristic, as explained by Mitja Borkert, director of the Lamborghini design center:

“The Lambo V12 Vision Gran Turismo was designed to be the best virtual car ever for all the young gamers and fans who love our brand. It is an opportunity for the genius and talent of our designers to fully express themselves and imagine a car that is not only fascinating and incredible to drive, but also reflects the design center’s commitment to developing innovative technologies, especially in the field of light materials and hybridization.”

At the moment it is not possible to buy the car, the Lamborghini Vision GT will only be available in spring 2020, when the new Gran Turismo Sport will be released.
