The new adidas Originals x Manchester United sneakers To celebrate 20th anniversary of the 1999 Champions League title

For the 20th anniversary of their Champions League victory in 1999, adidas released a sneaker with Manchester United to celebrate that crazy night in Barcelona.

Adidas Originals x MUFC drop is the latest collaboration with Manchester United and its symbols. After the 'Ashington' limited edition sneaker to celebrate Bobby Charlton and the adidas UltraBoost to celebrate the first FA Cup won by United, adidas Originals and MUFC are back together, launching these sneakers to celebrate the 20th anniversary of one of the most exciting nights in Champions League history.

The idea for these sneakers, called 'Barcelona 99', came from that unbelievable final against Bayern Munich, won thanks to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer late winner. The shoes - white with red three stripes - are made of leather with suede inserts and take up the traditional adidas Originals design. The details are what surprise the most, starting with the silver 'Barcelona 99' above the first stripe. The link to that night is hidden in the sneaker itself: the insoles feature the Manchester United crest in the left shoe and the image of the popular Ole Gunnar Solskjaer celebration in the right shoe.
