Leeds United has just unveiled the Centenary shirt The jersey will be worn during the next Championship match against Birmingham, on Saturday

On the occasion of the anniversary of the club, on Tuesday Leeds United presented a special jersey to celebrate its Centenary. With this clean and classy shirts, Bielsa's guys will play on Saturday 19 October the Championship's home game against Birmingham City. The last chapter of en entire week dedicated to pay homage to the history of the historic English club, that involved former players and executives.

The jersey designed by Kappa has a simple look, without 'useless' details, that immediately bring us to the past. No inserts on sleeves and collar and the brand's white logo is barely discernible. Leeds' crest is the only element that stands out against the total white look of the kit: a golden logo (instead of the typical yellow and blue) which is similiar to the current one. The lace-up collar and the Yorkshire Rose - tone on tone on the front - represent a clear connection with the past and with the origins of the club (the heraldic rose is the symbol of the House of York). For this special occasion the 32 Red sponsor is white and it's been reduced in a little badge under the Kappa logo.

The Centenary shirts went on sale in limited edition, but all the 1919 copies produced, each uniquely numbered and boxed together with a copy of the book 'Official History of Leeds United' by Andrew Dalton, were out of stock in a few hours.
