The new Gremio's pink jersey

In support of the "Outubre Rosa" campaign against breast cancer

The new Gremio's pink jersey In support of the Outubre Rosa campaign against breast cancer

Gremio has joined the "Outubro Rosa" movement, designing a special kit, in which the pink replaces the traditional blue and black colors of the Porto Alegre club.

The "Outubro rosa" is a worldwide awareness campaign on breast cancer, to raise funds to promote research and prevention. The movement that every year coincides with October is finding support from the world of sport. In addition to the Gremio, another club recently presented their pink kits as Las Palmas, San Paolo, Flamengo, Fluminense and Pumas UNAM, a club symbol of Mexican football. In Brazil that of the pink kits is a tradition,  Gremio presents them already in 2016 as well another club of Porto Alegre, the Internacional in 2017.

The kit presented during this week is entirely pink, except for Umbro's Double Diamond and the club's crest. The knit takes up the geometric pattern used by the English brand in the 1990s, present in the club's Third kit in shades of blue.
We do not know if the team will wear the new shirt on the pitch, meanwhile, the next big match of the Gremio is the Copa Libertadores semi-final against Flamengo, a crucial match after the 1 to 1 of the first leg, played in Porto Alegre.
The new jersey is available on the club's website only in women's style, at a price of around €44.
