The Nike Total 90 ball will come back on the Premier League's grounds

The Nike Total 90 ball will come back on the Premier League's grounds 15 years later, in the yellow-blue colorway

With the onset of winter and the matches played with snow and rain in the frozen fields of the Premier League, the English federation has decided to present as usual the yellow ball, which allows better visibility.

The official supplier of the Premier League is Nike and for the 25th anniversary of the Geo Merlin model - the same one also used in Serie A - Nike has decided to be inspired by the first Nike Total 90 Aerow Hi-Vis football, used for the first time during the 2004/2005 season.

The winter model differs for the first time from the official one, taking up some style details of the 15-year-old version. The oversize Swoosh, the PL logo, and the Total 90 logo appear on the side, enclosed within a blue outline that recalls the 2004's circle.

The winter ball for the 2019/2020 season is not the only way to design one of the lines and a symbolic item of the early 2000s. On November 8th, Nike will release 600 Hi-Vis Total 90 balls, hand-sewn, numbered and contained in a celebratory box.

To see the official debut and be overwhelmed by a wave of nostalgia, we will have to wait until October 25th, when the ball will be used in the match between Southampton and Leicester City.
