The movie about PAOK FC amazing season 'The Invicibles' tells the best moments of the incredible triumph of the Greek club

It's called 'The Invincibles', you can find it on YouTube with English subtitles and it tells the incredible triumph of the Greek team, that managed to win both the championship + national cup at the end of the 2018/2019 season. The movie, which in an hour and a half traces the whole journey of the Aspromavri between unpublished interviews with the main actors, exclusive videos from the Toumba stadium - one of the hottest in Eastern Europe - and above all final celebrations, decidedly not sober because they are long-awaited, 34 years to be precise. In fact, PAOK was the first non-Athenian team to win the Souper Ligka Ellada starting from 1988 and the national title is only the third in their history, but above all it came after an unbeaten season. A team, the Greek one, that found the winning squad thanks to a mix of foreign players, former Serie A footballers like Omar El Kaddouri and Josè Angel Crespo and also three Italians in the Razvan Lucescu (Mircea's son) staff: Diego Longo , Cristiano Bacci and Matteo Spatafora.

The documentary on the Greek team stands as something completely different from the latest releases in the world of football that we watch recently: the many documentaries on English football, certainly different but sometimes a bit banal (Sunderland Till I Die, All or Nothing and the latest addition, Fight Till The End) and those on champions and great characters (Le Petit Diable Griezmann, for example). 'The Invisibles' also puts the accent on a decidedly second-tier championship like the Greek one, which in the last few years has certainly been talked about though not for football stories, but for negative episodes: above all the crisis it has embraced also great teams like Panathinaikos and the many accidents in the stands including an episode concerning PAOK: in March 2018 a league match against AEK was suspended and the president, Georgian Savvidis, even entered the pitch with a gun. A very bad sports page that caused the inevitable suspension of the league.
