The best five sports pubs in Milan Where to watch you favorite club's football matches, but not only

Milan, you already know, is not only the city of fashion but of football, of course. One of the most fascinating things about Milan nightlife is the romantic beauty of the pubs where you can watch football matches and other sports events differently from your sofa's mood.

In fact, those who are unable to attend the matches inside the city venues should not despair too much, given that the pubs remain a more than valid solution for their particular charm, for the climate that reigns within them in which they play a also the excellent food and the vast selection of craft beers play a decisive role.

There is the pub that you are fond of and that you attend systematically, or the one where you find yourself by pure chance: among the many in which we set foot at least once, we have chosen five, in which to watch the sport (yes, not only football!), a list that will certainly be useful in the future:

MIND THE GAP

Address: Via Curtatone, 5.

Specialties: home made burgers or curry chicken with rice, accompanied by homemade honey beer.

Average price: 30 euros (for two people).

Situated near Porta Romana, one of the most central place in Milan, offers the possibility of watching a lot of sports, not only football and basketball. In the inside the location are embellished with real historical relics (signed shirts, tickets, prints, posters, wrestling belts, etc...). The walls in fact seem to contain a real museum of sports objects, with its classic vintage charm. It is probably the most suitable place for who love sports not so much mainstreamed, such as the English Championship, WWE or American football. For this reason it's the best place where to watch the Super Bowl, for example, even if it's scheduled in the middle of the night.

The menu offers excellent craft beers, classic burgers and also some good original dishes by chef Sam. Another important peculiarity of the restaurant is that it has a room entirely dedicated to darts, an assault when there are organized darts tournaments.

PILS PUB

Address: Via Agostino Bertani, 2.

Specialties: cold cuts and a Dutch Weizen.

Average price: 40 euros (for two people).

A few steps from the Arco della Pace, it features wooden interiors and a vast amount of high definition screens that will not make you regret choosing the pub instead of your home TV. The over 10 different beers then do the rest.

Open for both lunch and dinner, it is a place that is at the same time very touristy due to its international clientele. Precisely for this reason, having a table in the venue during competitions such as the European Championships or the World Cup can become a thrilling experience of cheering, against historic rivals who may be sitting right behind you.

442 SPORTS PUB

Address: Via Giulio Cesare Procaccini, 61.

Specialties: fish & chips.

Average price: 40 euros (for two people).

Surely the scarves hanging on the walls are the most characteristic element of the place, which color it and give it that British style that attracts customers of all kinds together with beer, the absolute protagonist of the Fourfourtwo evenings. And yes, it's the live showroom of 'Quelli che il calcio' on Sunday.

The staff at hand is another of the strengths of the pub, which is therefore able to maintain a target always young.

It's certainly one of the most lively meeting points of the Milanese sport culture despite its position: in fact it also allows you to follow different disciplines from the usual football or basketball (however preferred in the local schedules), such as car racing and volleyball.

BRASSERIE BRUXELLES

Address: Viale Abruzzi, 33.

Specialties: Pils beer and Gordon Double burger.

Average price: 25 euros (for two people).

We completely change the area and move to Città Studi, among excellent Belgian beers and appetizers that you can taste. Equipped also with tables outside, it's ready to warm up for the great football nights. Difficult to forget the sold out of the night when Klopp's Liverpool came out defeated in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, in a climate of disbelief but also a lot of irony for the mistakes of Karius, Reds' goalkeeper. The kitchen open until late is one of the reasons to come back even at unthinkable times.

HENRY’S CAFE’

Address: Viale Col di Lana, 4.

Specialties: Double plate burgers, Argentinian meat, house drinks and whiskeys

Average price: 30 euros (for two people).

Probably among those mentioned is the one that offers the greatest quantity of drinks, including beers, wines, cocktails and liqueurs. It remains one of the best-known pubs of the Milanese nightlife also because of its location (near the Navigli district) and its space: the rooms of the club are in fact three, and in each one it is possible to experience the emotions of great football, mainly Serie A and the Champions League, in a welcoming atmosphere. With wooden interiors and some ideas of Italian design from the 1960s, it is truly one of the most characteristic places among those around the Darsena, perfectly served by tram number 9.

Highly recommended for the derby between AC Milan and Inter.
