We do not yet know the final placement in the Serie A and the next manager, but in the meantime Nike has presented the new Home kit that the AS Roma will wear during the 2019/2020 season, immediately after launching those of Chelsea, Inter and Atletico Madrid.
In the new uniform of the Giallorossi team there is a detail that is impossible to miss: the collar and the ends of the sleeves in fact recall the symbol of thunderbolt, a tribute to Roman mythology and in particular to Jupiter, 'the King of the Gods' also confirmed by Pete Hoppins, Nike's Football Apparel Senior Design Director:
"Roman mythology and the influence it exerted on the identity of the city of Rome played a fundamental role in the conception of the concept. This year we focused on Jupiter and lightning appeared to us as an immediate and powerful symbol on which we could concentrate”.
In reality the reference is double, since the lightning bolt also wants to refer to the magic that has always enveloped the 'Magica': “IT’S MAGIC. IT’S AS ROMA”.
The new jersey, which also consists of white shorts and red socks, even them with stylized lightning, will be worn by Zaniolo & Co already in the last home game of the season that AS Roma will play Sunday against Parma, the last one of Daniele De Rossi.
