Converse is back with a new basketball sneaker The company founded in 1908 presents the All Star Pro BB

At the beginning of the year, we told you that 2019 would be the year of basketball sneakers and that Converse will probably be among the leading brands. In fact, after PUMA and New Balance's return to the world of professional basketball, Converse is a brand that has been the essence and synonym of basketball since the late 1920s thanks to Chuck Taylor and the All Star.

The company remained at the top in the production of basketball shoes for professionals up to and including during the 80's when absolute champions like Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, who dominated the NBA, had sponsorship contracts with the brand founded in Malden, Massachusetts in 1908 and they won titles on titles with just a pair of Converse on their feet. The company failed in 2001, for several reasons including the monopoly taken over by Nike and adidas.

In 2003 the Converse brand was bought by Nike who relaunched it.

Until today, the news is strong: Converse is back in the world of professional basketball with a new sneaker: the All Star Pro BB.

The model is made with an upper single layer of QuadFit mesh, the same material used in the Nike Adapt BB, has a React drop-in midsole for cushioning, reinforced eyelets, contrast stitching on the side panel and the outer sole in the shape of a diamond tip.
History and innovation have met, structured to meet today's performance standards, the All Star Pro BB has many references to the old school All Star: the top is modeled like the classic "Chuck Taylor" and the All Star logo is clearly visible on the inner panel neck while the Chevron one is on the outside. There is the whole story of the All Star.

Two different colorways will be released, in white and in black; the release is scheduled for May 18th at price € 140.
