Umbro and Cruzeiro presented the new 2019 home kit Minimal blue and stars for the Belo Horizonte's football club

Cruzeiro and Umbro are ready for the start of the 49th Brasileirao. The Belo Horizonte team has launched the 2019 home jersey, characterized by a minimal approach, a constant of the jerseys designed in the last season by the English brand. The essentiality is highlighted by a design without decorative elements, except for the starry pattern that is slightly visible on the top of the shirt. Even the circular crest with crown, typical of the team coached by the former Seleção manager Mano Menezes, is reduced to only 5 stars of the Cruzeiro, the constellation of the "Southern Cross" visible only from the Southern Hemisphere.

The Cruzeiro Esporte Clube is a sports club founded in 1921 by Italian immigrants who wanted to follow the example of compatriots who had founded Palmeiras in San Paolo. The colors initially chosen were those of the Italian flag, replaced only in 1942, in the middle of the Second World War, when Brazil, lined up with the allies, decided to replace the tricolor with blue. This color entirely characterizes the new Umbro jersey, in which the only white elements are the brand logo, the crest and small details on the neck and sleeves.

At the bottom right are placed the 5 stars again, along with the club's founding date - the only one ever relegated to the second division together with Flamengo - and the Raposa, the fox symbol of the 4 times Brazilian Championship and 2 times Libertadores champion.

The away kit reverses the colors and the star pattern is no longer placed only on the upper part but in horizontal stripes, exclusively on the front of the shirt.
