Call it Parc Olympique Lyonnais, call it Parc OL, call it Stade des Lumières, call it Groupama Stadium: it's the stadium owned by Olympique Lyon located in the eastern suburbs of the city, built in 2016 and that has already hosted six matches of the last Euro Cup (including Belgium-Italy 0-2) and a Europa League final, the one won by Atletico Madrid against Olympique Marseille. Now, on the initiative of President Aulas, it has also become an urban art gallery: the spaces of the venue (a total area of 1800 m2) have in fact been used to host more than 20 colorful murals and many true works of art, almost all completely unrelated to the world of football.

The project is called Offside Gallery and was created by a local collective called Birdy Kids and composed of the two brothers Guillaume and Gautier Mathieu, who involved a total of 16 other artists, almost French. During the last weekend, while Olympique was involved in the Paris match against PSG, there was a free opening, but in the future the entry will cost 8 euros, just like a museum. It's without doubt a unique project, with two main objectives: the creation of a real permanent art gallery for the public and to leave an indelible mark for the present and above all future generations. The Lyon stadium, therefore, enters by right among the cathedrals of football like top stadiums in the world: we are sure that thanks to this operation Lyon will also be able to increase its customers a lot, attracting completely different categories from those that populate the stadium only to follow matches.
