Five football matches to watch this weekend

Liverpool, City, Naples and PSG: do not take any commitments for this Sunday

Five football matches to watch this weekend Liverpool, City, Naples and PSG: do not take any commitments for this Sunday

What plans do you have for the weekend that is about to start? Well, we only give you the chance to have a look at Sneakerness, but otherwise it seems to imply that you have to spend all the free time that you have watching football. The general advice we want to give you for this weekend is that the most crispest matches are almost all on Sunday: how do we say in these cases? Forewarned is forearmed! Ps: also this time the games starts already on Friday evening, so do not forget to put the formation of your fantasy football.

Athletic Bilbao-Real Sociedad

when: Friday 5/10 at 9pm

where: New San Mamés / DAZN

It happens very often that you arrive on Friday evening so tired because all the week's energies are terminated that you do not have the strength to put your nose out of your house: so what better excuse to see Athletic Bilbao against Real Sociedad? The traditional Basque derby (although now in La Liga there are also Eibar and Huesca) always have a special charm, even if the two teams are no longer competitive as years ago: among the keynotes of the match is certainly the curiosity to observe a bit of youngsters (of course 100% Basque) at work but also see what effect does Iñigo Martinez against his former teammates. And then there is the beauty of the new San Mamés that will certainly be packed.

Liverpool-Manchester City

when: Sunday 7/10 at 5:30pm

where: Anfield Road / Sky Sport

For Liverpool are ten terrible days: after the two close matches against Chelsea and the away match in Naples, the Reds will finish this difficult period with the big match of the eighth Premier League gameweek. One match that will give the possibility of staying ahead of the league but what matters most to us is that there will be a lot of show for sure: only in the last three challenges played in 2018 between PL and Champions League there were 13 goals. Clop against Guardiola, Salah vs Aguero: are there any other reasons to convince you that it will be an unmissable match?

Napoli-Sassuolo

when: Sunday 7/10 at 6pm

where: San Paolo / Sky Sport

Who would have said that Naples-Sassuolo would have been a high ranking clash? But yes, that of the San Paolo between the boys of Ancelotti and those of De Zerbi will be a match that we will watch for sure, and the final result is not taken for granted. Napoli comes from an excellent moment (despite the Allianz Stadium's defeat) but has both left-backs out, Sassuolo must avenge the heavy blow suffered against Milan and has a great offensive potential. And then, let's face it clearly, what do you have better to do on Sunday afternoon?

Benfica-Porto

when: Sunday 7/10 at 6:30pm

where: Estadio da Luz / the best streaming you can find online

How many Primeira Liga games do you usually watch in one season? Well, Benfica-Porto is one of the few opportunities to try this experience that will seriously test your football sickness. The match between the two most strong reality of the Lusitanian football is obviously a top clash, even if Sporting Braga is currently in first place: what really deserves is going to the discovery of the many semi-unknown youngsters who will play. A little spoiler: many footballers from Capo Verde with nice names like Alfa Semedo and also Gedson Fernandes, Eder Militao, and then super-discontinuous Maghrebite fantasists like Brahimi and Taarabt.

Paris Saint Germain-Olympique Lyon

when: Sunday 7/10 at 9pm

where: Parco dei Principi / DAZN

If you do not want to see the Serie A night match between Spal and Inter there is a delicious match of Ligue 1 between the French champions of the PSG and a team that we love so much, the OL. In theory there's no story but if there is a team that can put in trouble Neymar & CO is precisely that coached by Genesio and in which play Memphis Depay and Nabil Fekir. The forecast remains decisively in favor of the hosts, but we are pretty sure that the goals and the emotions will not be missed.
