Let's not hide behind a finger: the last two (three?) Champions Leagues have been kinda boring.
The groups were unbalanced and up to the quarterfinals most of the results were almost obvious. This year's edition - with the new selection formula and new schedules - promises some show: fewer trips to Kazakhstan, more interesting rounds and matches fought from the first day (with the exception of Roma, which yesterday went to Santiago Bernabeu with a kid who didn't even played in the Verona's Bentegodi). FC Inter had its momentum: Spalletti needed a psychological release for a team in difficulty on the level of the game. While Napoli- Red Star - I'm sorry to write it - seemed like the Europa League two days earlier.
