One last dance for Dwyane Wade

The Miami Heat player announces his final year in the NBA

One last dance for Dwyane Wade The Miami Heat player announces his final year in the NBA

After at least four months of rumours, the news has finally arrived.

Dwyane Wade will play his last year in the NBA with "his" team, Miami Heat

The announcement was made last night through his social media platforms with a half-light video entitled "One Last Dance". The Flash, in a heart-felt conversation, tells emotions and motivations that brought him to this decision, and by hearing his words it's easy to understand how difficult and suffered his choice was, and it couldn't have been otherwise. A player who took the field even when his knees made it hard, a player that gave everything he had on the court, that now announces, with a bit of disappointment but firmly, that this will be his last season playing in the league

"This is the hardest decision that I've ever had to make... I always did things my way, whether they've been good or they've been bad, I got here because I've done things the way that i feel is right for me and right for my family. I feel its right to ask you guys to join me for one last dance, one last season."

Wade will play his last season with Miami for a small salary, compared to the amount he was used to, one year at minumum wage: a 2.4 million deal that he will sign at the end of the week. Dwyane leads the Heat for points, assists, steals and number of games played, and is part of the history of Miami and of the league as well. He won the title in 2006, the first for the Florida team, and won also the Bill Russel NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award

"These things to you guys may seem small, but to me, they're real. I feel like my family have put me first for so many years, for good reasons. But there comes a point in time when we've all got to think about someone else, especially the ones around you that have supported you, supported your dreams, supported your journey like my family have."

For the final goodbyes we'll meet again at the end of the season, to pay tribute to a wonderful player. But for now, let's enjoy "One Last Dance of Dwyane Wade"
