Today at 5.32 pm Real Madrid has made it official: Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a 105 mln euro deal with Juventus. It's an historic day for the Turin club and the Italian football, that from next season will have the chance to admire the four-time Ballon d'Or winner in action, for many the best player in the world. Ronaldo has signed a 4 year contract with Juventus with an annual pay of 30 mln euros.

There will be time for a deeper, technical and economic analysis about the Cristiano Ronaldo deal and its consequences on Juventus and Serie A. For today we can say a couple of things: Italian football is no longer the suburb of European football and is still able to attract such important players. Moreover, the gap between Juventus and the other Italian teams will inevitably increase dramatically.

But, as I said before, today is not the day for analysis.
