"King of LA" but not for everybody

King of LA but not for everybody The mural in Venice dedicated to LeBron James has been vandalized after a few days

Since when LeBron James announced his will to sign a four-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers - a commitment that will become official in the next days - the NBA and the whole Californian city has gone into chaos. That’s what happens every time a superstar like LeBron moves: social networks gone mad, jerseys sold at the speed of light and supporters that celebrates like for the winning of a championship. Apparently, though, not everybody in Los Angeles is so thrilled about LeBron James’ arrival into town.

In fact, at the end of the last week, the “King of LA” mural was unveiled in Venice, one of the city’s coastal districts. But after just a few days of admiration, the painting has been immediately vandalized, as the “No King”, “We don’t want you”, “LeFraud” and the 3-6 James’ finals record writings appeared overnight. According to the internet, a then-deleted tweet offered as much as $300 dollar to whoever was ready to destroy LeBron mural.

Not so bad, though, as the mural has been immediately restored and the “of” word removed, as it could’ve apparently been the reason for the misdeed in the first place. “King of LA” has then become “King” and “LA” but we bet we just have to wait LeBron’s first couple of games with the Lakers for someone to put that “of” where it belongs.
