After a few days entirely dedicated to the World Cup - and rightly so - we’re back at clubs’ football, talking to things that are going to happen in the 2018/2019 season. Particularly with the kits of the European teams, as after the first session of presentations, we’re slowly seeing the puzzle of the shirts for the next season complete itself. Yesterday, it was Celtic’s turn, as the club presented the new away kit made by New Balance.

The new away jersey for the Glasgow-based club catches everything from the history of the club, that will turn 130 in the next season, having been found back in 1888. In fact, the shirt features the old symbol of the Celtic cross instead of the modern crest, a symbol that has been used for the first uniforms of the club - therefore, before any kind of politicization - other than a classic and clean design.

The shirt is mainly white, with a soft striped-pattern on the front, while the club’s green is brought by the Celtic cross on the chest, New Balance branding, the jersey sponsor, and the two stripes on the shoulders. The colors of the shorts are inverted, as they’re mainly green - or better, “Eden green” - with white branding and crest. Same colors used for the stripes-shaped socks.
