adidas unveiled the trophies for the best players at Russia 2018
The Golden Boot, Golden Glove, and Golden Ball were all exposed in a pop-up store in Moscow

As we were saying a few days ago for the reveal of the FIFA World Cup official tv intro, there are now just a few details left in the puzzle of presentations that will compose the tournament. Yesterday we discovered three more, as adidas Football presented the three prizes that will go to the best scorer, the best goalkeeper, and the best player of the tournament. The Three Stripes chose as location a pop-up store at TSUM Department Store in Moscow, where they’ll be displayed until the kickoff of the World Cup.
The adidas Golden Boot, that will be assigned to the best scorer of the tournament, is inspired by the design of the brand new X 18+, that debuted a few days ago replacing the X 17 model. The Three Stripes nurse the desire to see the trophy assigned to one of their athletes once again, after that in the last three editions Miroslav Klose (2006), Thomas Müller (2010) and James Rodriguez (2014), all adidas-branded athletes, won the Golden Boot.
The design of the Golden Ball for the 2018 World Cup is inspired by the official match ball of the tournament, the Telstar. In the last edition, it was won by Leo Messi with some criticism for his poor performance in the final lost against Germany. Finally, the Golden Glove, inspired by the Predator Pro model by adidas, will be assigned to the best goalkeeper of the competition, that in the last edition was Manuel Neuer.
